SAFETY POLICY

Generating within the Company the philosophy that the prevention of injury and damage are both an essential and integral part of a successful business, each contributing to efficiency.
Maintain an awareness of current legislation and codes of practice in respect of all aspects of Health and Safety literature.
Monitor and update all accident registers and inform respective clients of any incidents relative to their site.
SITE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
All site engineers shall be responsible for any matters related to Health Safety and Welfare at their site.
It is the responsibility of members of staff.
Accountability for any accident rests with the senior site engineer.
All site management are required to implement the Company's Safety Policy with particular emphasis on the following.
a) Ensure that the site is organised in such a manner that all works can be carried out in a safe and proper manner and to met the required standards
b) Ensure that all plant and machinery operatives are trained correctly and of the appropriate age.
All operatives under the age of 18 must be supervised by a competent engineer.
c) ensure that regular site inspections are carried out and pro-active safety reports generated where applicable.
d) Establish and adhere to safe working practices in all instances.
e) Check and maintain clean working areas. Check all hand tools for the correct voltage and suitability for the work upon which they will be used.
f) Check on the site first aid pack and ensure it meets the regulations. Inform all operatives of it's location.
g) Inspect all protective clothing and safety equipment and ensure it's use as appropriate.
h) Co-operate with both the client's and Company's management in all matter relating to the Health and Safety of all persons.
Report any accident to the Company with immediate effect and enter the fullest details in the site log. Inform the client of such an incident and pass details of action taken
In the event of a fatality the following MUST be contacted.
1. The Company Directors.
The Client.
The Factory Inspectorate.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF ALL EMPLOYEES
All employees have a responsibility to adhere to the Company's Health and Safety Policy with particular emphasis on the following.
Proper selection, use and care of the appropriate tools and equipment for the work.
Correct use of all safety equipment supplied for the completion of the task.
Follow the procedure for the reporting of faulty tools and equipment including logging in the site record book.
Do not take any risks .
Become personally aware of all aspects of safety and be concerned for all others.
Do not abuse or mis-use any equipment or plant. Be pro-active in the approach to safety at all times.
